Dorgard X
Dorgard X enables fire doors to be kept open safely and legally. When the fire alarm sounds Dorgard X receives a signal from System X to release the fire doors, preventing the spread of fire and smoke.


It is often inconvenient to keep your fire doors shut; however it is against regulations to wedge them open. Dorgard X enables fire doors to be kept open safely and legally. In the event of the fire alarm sounding, Dorgard X receives a signal from System X to release the fire doors, preventing the spread of fire and smoke.

Dorgard X is activated by System X, which can be hardwired into the fire alarm panel or be a completely wireless acoustic system.
System X Hardwired
System X hardwired is wired directly into the fire control panel’s fire and fault relay or loop via an I/O unit. The System X unit utilises wi-fi technology to communicate with all linked devices.
One unit can transmit simultaneously to multiple Dorgard X units within a 1000 metre range, subject to a site specific survey.
System X Acoustic
The wireless version of System X incorporates the very latest radio technology and is installed beside the fire alarm bell or sounder. On identifying an alarm condition using tried and tested acoustic technology, the unit automatically signals to all linked devices. One unit can transmit simultaneously to multiple Dorgard X units within a 100 metre range, subject to a site specific survey.
